We Care Club

From Oct. 20, 2019, 11 a.m. to May 17, 2020, 12:30 p.m.

Families join together for a year of learning and doing. A series of monthly sessions combine adult-level learning, family learning, and family action on a particular social action or social justice theme. Over the course of the year, four themes (environment, chesed, human rights, hunger) will be explored, each theme focusing on a children’s book which will form the core content of the session. The books will be distributed to families along with ideas for family action steps so they can continue the learning at home. Adult level learning will consist of accessible text studies and parenting discussions led by a seasoned Jewish professional. Some sessions will take place off-site to maximize philanthropic activities.

Vilna Shul offers $5 validated parking after 4 pm and on weekends. Parking validation is only good for the underground parking at the Charles River Plaza/ Cambridge Street Garage at 165 Cambridge Street. Entrance to the underground garage is between the Charles River Plaza Shopping Center (Whole Foods/CVS) and Au Bon Pain, near the intersection of Blossom St and Cambridge St. Yellow tickets from the surface lot at Whole Foods cannot be validated.
The Vilna Shul, Boston’s Center for Jewish Culture, is Boston’s only landmark historic Jewish building. Today, it serves as a modern-day cultural center and living museum in downtown Boston.
