Families join together for a year of learning and doing. A series of monthly sessions combine adult-level learning, family learning, and family action on a particular social action or social justice theme. Over the course of the year, four themes (environment, chesed, human rights, hunger) will be explored, each theme focusing on a children’s book which will form the core content of the session. The books will be distributed to families along with ideas for family action steps so they can continue the learning at home. Adult level learning will consist of accessible text studies and parenting discussions led by a seasoned Jewish professional. Some sessions will take place off-site to maximize philanthropic activities.
