Sun and Soil | Getting to Know Your Garden Bugs

From May 23, 2020, 11 a.m. to May 23, 2020, 1 p.m.

Join us at the Greenhouse to learn about the good, the bad, and the benign bugs in your garden and how to treat them!

This workshop will discuss how to identify common pests & helpful bugs, recognize plant symptoms & damage, and implement easy, organic pest-control solutions. We will address when to spray, when to remove leaves, and when to get serious. Each participant will make an organic pest remedy to try at home.

Our Garden Workshops are designed to be accessible to all curious New Yorkers, and provide a hands-on, informative look into the world of gardening. . Each class is led by one of the Horticultural Society of New York’s gardeners, practitioners, or horticulturists.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to class as we start right on time.

Special Note: The class is located in the greenhouse and classroom at Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park. You may register online or in person. For more information contact Daniel Wohl at (917) 902-3940.
